The Donna Seat He Gave Away

Secret wife vs. boss who publicly chose rival negotiator over protocol.

Three months into a contract marriage that cleared her father's blood debt, the unnamed wife attends a Visconti-Vitali truce banquet where seating charts placed Vitali negotiator Sophia at the far end. Lucas Visconti waves Sophia to the Donna's seat beside him, ignoring sealed charts and dual consiglieri objections. He invokes Sophia's late brother Dominic, who died after taking a bullet for Lucas, and claims full responsibility. Enzo Vitali demands the breach be recorded and threatens to suspend talks. Throughout dinner Lucas absorbs every toast meant for Sophia. When broken glass cuts the wife's wrist, he does not turn; she removes the inner-circle ring and sets it on the table, revealing she holds every dark secret of both families.
